My Job
I work with children and young people to find out what they are good at and what they may need help with.
I use this information to work together with the child or young person, and the adults in their lives to find ways to help them get even better at things they are good at and to make things they find hard easier.
My job is called Specialist Teacher, but you can just call me Gill.
What we might do together
When I come to meet you, I will introduce myself and tell you what we might do together.
This might be a chat about you, what is important to you, what you think you are good at and what you find tricky. Also, we might do some puzzles, reading, spelling or tests together.
What happens if you don’t want to work with me
If you don’t want to meet me or do any work, you don’t have to. We will only meet if you want to and do as much as you are happy to.
If you have any questions, you can ask me or an adult in school.
