Meet Hannah Fryer
Find out more about Hannah in her pen portrait below. Contact us if you have any questions about our team and/or the services we provide.
Hannah is an Assistant Educational Psychologist. She graduated from the University of Manchester in 2019 with an Upper Second Class degree in Psychology with International Study, a year of which was completed in Spain, where she studied Educational Psychology more closely.
Throughout her degree Hannah volunteered in a variety of settings, including Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools, mainstream schools and local authority departments. Hannah worked closely with SEN teaching assistants, and the children they supported, who displayed a variety of needs including; Global Developmental Delay, ASC and Downs Syndrome. During this time, Hannah also conducted a research project within a school, investigating the development of language biases in children. This research has since been published, and follow-up research has been undertaken by the university.
Since graduating, Hannah worked as a Learning Support Assistant, and as part of the Early Help and Intervention Team at a mainstream primary school with a high level of SEN entry. Hannah worked to support and deliver interventions to children across the school, with a variety of Special Educational Needs and barriers to learning. Hannah’s main areas of interest are ASC, Global Developmental Delay, and Specific Language Impairment.

My Job
I work with children and young people to find out what they are good at and what they find hard.
I use this information to work with all of the adults in their lives to think of ways to help them get even better at things they are good at and to make things they find hard easier.
My job is called Assistant Educational Psychologist, but you can just call me Hannah.
What we might do together
When I come to meet you, I will introduce myself and tell you what we might do together.
This might be a chat about you, what is important to you, what you like and don’t like. We might also play some games, do some drawing, questionnaires or tests together.
What happens if you don’t want to work with me
If you don’t want to meet me or do any work, you don’t have to. We will only meet if you want to and do as much as you are happy to.
If you have any questions, you can ask me or an adult in school.
