My Job

My job is to get to know and understand you by finding out what you are good at, to help you get better at the things you find tricky.

I will work with you and your teachers to find lots of ways to help you with your learning and to help you feel happy and safe at school.

My job is called a HLTA/behaviour specialist, but you can call me Haleema.

What we might do together

When I come to your school, I will introduce myself and tell you about the things we might do together. We may talk about things you like and dislike and work out what things are important to you. We might even play some games and do some drawing and talking activities.

What happens if you don’t want to work with me

It is very important to me that you feel happy and safe in school, so if you don’t want to meet me you don’t have to. We will only meet if you want to and do as much as you are happy to.

If you have any questions, you can ask me or an adult in school.
