Zones Of Regulation Learning Presentation
Zones of Regulation – Supporting Emotional Understanding and Self-Regulation in Schools
The Zones of Regulation is a structured, evidence-informed framework designed to help children recognise, understand, and manage their emotions more effectively. By using four simple colour-coded zones, pupils learn to identify how they are feeling and develop practical strategies to regulate their emotions, behaviour, and attention.
As both an intervention and a whole-school approach, the Zones of Regulation promotes emotional literacy, resilience, and independence. It provides a common language that can be used consistently across classrooms, making it easier for children to communicate their feelings and for staff to support them proactively.
This training session introduces the Zones of Regulation framework, its core principles, and how to embed it effectively in your setting.
